MQM demands action against criminals involved in assassinations
KARACHI - The MQM on Saturday demanded that action be taken against those involved in targeted killings in the city with the backing of a political organisation.

FAISALABAD: The Thikriwala police, in a leading case of robbery, arrested the four dacoits who hijacked an oil tanker, carrying furnace oil worth Rs 3 million, four months back.
Thikriwala SHO Haji Shaukat Ali and his team arrested a gang of four dacoits, Riaz and Abdul Majeed from Khanewal and Akhtar Khursheed and Muhammad Munir from Multan. The incident occurred near Sadhar bypass on Jhang Road.
During the investigation, the accused confessed to the robbery. On their

Eight people have been arrested for their suspected involvement in targeted killings in Karachi, the Crime Investigation Department (CID) said on Sunday.
The arrested men were Rizwan Mehmood, Muhammad Umer, Babar Mumtaz, Bilal Zafar, Haneef, Asad, Ishtiaq and Riaz. Of these, Rizwan Mehmood alias Chamber is a political activist and police recovered a Kalashnikov rifle and magazines full of rounds from his possession.
