KARACHI - Strikes in the country cost national exchequer at least Rs five billion daily, the industrialists told the government and protested against the recent 9.9 percent hike in petroleum products prices. LAHORE - The Pakistan Industrial and Traders Associations Front (PIAF), Ferozepur Road Industrial Association, Katar Band Industrial Association and Kahna Kacha Industrial have rejected the massive rise in petroleum prices and have demanded an immediate withdrawal from the government. KARACHI - Industrialists have raised concerns over the inflationary trend resulting from high government borrowings from the central and commercial banks. "The industrial economy of the country is already struggling due to rising global commodity prices, energy shortages and the ever worsening security situation," said a joint statement issued by SITE Association of Industry Chairman Abdul Wahab Lakhani, Senior Vice Chairman Asad Nisar and Vice Chairman Sanaullah Abdullah.
