LAHORE - The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Friday directed the Punjab inspector general of police (IGP) to look into the promotion matter of two DSPs and report by March 3. The IGP appeared in court after he was issued notice for not responding to summons. KARACHI - Acting Sindh Inspector General of Police (IGP) Fayyaz Ahmed Laghari has ordered the regional police officers of the province to take extraordinary security measures on Pakistan Day (March 23).
Laghari asked the respective heads of the police to carry out effective snap checking at exit and entry points of major cities of the province, particularly Karachi. He called for extra security arrangements for all functions to be arranged for the Pakistan Day celebrations.
