Five more killed during last 24 hours in Karachi
KARACHI - At least five more people including a trader's son were killed in separate violent incidents in various areas of the metropolis during the last 24 hours, police said.
The latest incident in the series took place in Liyari area of Miranaka, where a man was shot down.

ISLAMABAD - The National Assembly Standing Committee on Water and Power was told in a meeting chaired by Syed Ghulam Mustafa Shah here on Monday that there would be no respite from grueling power outages during the hot summer months and people in urban areas would have to bear daily outages of at least 4 to 6 hours, while those in rural areas would be subjected to 6 to 8 hours of no power from April to September.

KARACHI - The Karachi Electric Supply Company (KESC) has increased load shedding to up to eight hours due to, what the company claims, shortage of gas for running its electricity generating plants, sources have informed Pakistan Today. KARACHI: A series of small bomb blasts on upcountry railway tracks in different places in Sindh disrupted train services from Karachi to other parts of the country on Friday morning.
Six low-intensity blasts in Karachi, Hyderabad, Nawabshah, Ghotki and Panu Aqil damaged the tracks and brought train services to a complete halt for many hours. The train services were restored on Friday evening after railway engineers finished repairs.
