LAHORE - Punjab College of Commerce and Punjab University Teaching Department have qualified for the final of the Inter-Collegiate Hockey Championship. PU Teaching Department beat Islamia College Kasur four goals to one. Hassan Butt, Mohammad Iqbal, Hamza Shaukat and Mohammad Sajid scored for the Teaching Department, while the lone goal from the losing side came from Azhar Iqbal.

CM announces prize money for hockey team
LAHORE - The Pakistan Whites hockey team will receive Rs 1.6 million as prize money for winning the 11th SAG trophy. The team participated in the 11th SAG held in Dhaka from January 29 to February 8, 2010 and won the title.

SSGC beat wapda – Customs clinch Jr Hockey title
LAHORE - Customs won the 30th U19 Junior National Hockey Championship when they outscored NBP in a penalty shootout in the final match, played at Bahawalpur Hockey Stadium. Meanwhile, SSGC beat WAPDA to secure the third place in the championship.
After a one-all stalemate in the regular and extra times, Customs hit four goals while NBP managed three in the penalty shootouts. Meanwhile, SSGC fought hard with WAPDA and took a 3-2 victory.

LAHORE - NBP, SSGC and Customs made their presence felt with wins in the 30th U19 Junior National Hockey Championship, which is in progress at Bahawalpur Hockey Stadium. In the three matches played on Wednesday, NBP beat Islamabad 6-3, SSGC beat Punjab 5-1 and Customs beat Balochistan 9-2. Another three matches will be played today; Sindh vs Khy Pakhtoonkhwa at 1100 hrs, Punjab vs Balochistan at 1300 hrs and Wapda vs Pak.Board at 1500 hrs.

LAHORE - Punjab, Sindh, WAPDA and PAF Academy won their matches in the 30th U-19 Junior National Hockey Championship which is in progress at Bahawalpur Hockey Stadium, Bahawalpur. LAHORE - The 30th U19 Junior National Hockey Championship has started at Bahawalpur Hockey Stadium. On Saturday, two matches were played. SSGC and NBP won their matches. Results: SSGC beat Balochistan 8-0 SSGC: Syed Kashif Shah (Capt) 3 Goals 24th Minute (PS), 40th & 67th Minutes (FG), Zahid 3 Goals 36th Minute (FG), 49th Minute (PC) & 69th Minute (FG), Safeer Hussain 39th Minute (FG) & Arslan Sherazi 44th Minute (FG).

Junior Hockey from 26th
LAHORE - The 30th U-19 Junior Hockey Championship will be played at Bahawalpur Hockey Stadium from February 26 to March 13. According to an official of the Pakistan Hockey Federaton, players will only be allowed to represent their parent department and if any player has switched to another department, he should have to provide his transfer documents for scrutiny.

NBP notch National Hockey title
LAHORE - National Bank of Pakistan clinched the 58th National Hockey Championship title and WAPDA secured third place at the Faisalabad Hockey Stadium, Faisalabad, on Sunday. In a tit-for-tat affair, NBP finally prevailed over a fighting PIA to get 4-3 win in front of a large number of fans, former Olympians and international hockey players.

LAHORE - PIA, WAPDA, NBP and SSGC have qualified for semi-finals of the 58th National Hockey Championship, to be played on February 12 at Faisalabad. Steel Mill, Navy, WAPDA and NBP on Wednesday moved past their rivals while PIA were held to a goal-less draw by SSGC. PIA remained on top in the points table.

PIA lead in Hockey Championship
LAHORE - PIA and National Bank of Pakistan are leading the 58th National Hockey Championship on the 10th day, with nearly all the teams having played seven matches. The championship, which is being played at the Faisalabad Hockey Stadium, will have its final on February 13.

LAHORE - Navy, PIA, SSGC and NBP won their matches in the 58th National Hockey Championship being played at the Faisalabad Hockey Stadium, Faisalabad, on Sunday. Hockey series with Egypt in doldrums
LAHORE - The political uprising in Egypt has prompted the Pakistan Hockey Federation to cancel the proposed home and away series against the Egyptian national team. The PHF was compelled to take the decision after the sports, foreign and interior ministries asked the PHF to refrain from touring the troubled country and wait until the situation turns normal.

LAHORE - The U-19 Junior National Hockey Championship will be played at Bahawalpur Hockey Stadium, Bahawalpur, from February 26 to March 13. The event will be organised by the Punjab Hockey Association on behalf of the PHF.

LAHORE - SSGC, NBP, Army and PIA won their respective matches of the 58th National Hockey Championship, which is in progress at the Faisalabad Hockey Stadium. On Saturday, another four matches were played. SSGC fought hard to beat Navy 5-4, NBP thrashed PTV 4-0, Army struggled to defeat Port Qasim 4-3 and PIA was stretched to its limit by HBL for a 3-2 win.

LAHORE - The U-19 National Junior Hockey Championship will be played at Bahawalpur Hockey Stadium from February 26 and will be organised by the Punjab Hockey Association on behalf of the PHF.
The championship is of importance as the PHF wants to spot talent and widen the player base, from where a strong side would be groomed, ahead of the 3rd Men's Asia Cup 2011.
The PHF has appointed "Age Credentials Check Committee" and Local NADRA Staff to verify the ages of the players
