PESHAWAR - Scores of militants attacked a security checkpost in Mohmand Agency early on Wednesday, killing at least three security personnel. In retaliation, the forces reportedly gunned down 15 assailants while injuring eight others. The officials said a group of more than 70 militants attacked a Frontier Corps checkpost at Anargee in Baizai Tehsil of Mohmand Agency during the wee hours of Wednesday.

PESHAWAR - Two militants were shot down in Samar Bag area of Lower Dir, security officials claimed on Sunday. Earlier, the militants attacked a police van with an Improvised Explosive Device, injuring three police officers including the station house officer, officials said.
Security forces then retaliated, killing two of the attackers and capturing an undisclosed number. The Lower Dir district is native to Sufi Mohammad, chief of the banned Tehrik Nifaz Shariah Mohammadi.
