BEIJING - From January to December 2010, Pakistan's exports to China increased by nearly $500 million with an overall growth rate of 37.4 percent. According to the figures released by China Customs, total Pakistani exports to China last year were $1.7 billion compared to $1.2 billion in 2009.

Economy to grow by 3pc: State Bank
KARACHI - Forecasting Pakistan's real Gross Domestic Product (GDP) growth at two to three percent, the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has said that the country's external accounts would deteriorate during second half of the current fiscal year. Funds assets grow by Rs 21.47 billion
KARACHI - The net assets of the mutual funds have exhibited impressive growth in the current financial year. In June 2010, the net assets held by the funds stood at Rs 199.70 billion which have improved to Rs 221.17 billion by November 2010, showing a growth of Rs 21.47 billion in just five months. With the industry total standing at Rs 221.17 billion, NIT is the largest Asset Management Company (AMC) in Pakistan with a share of Rs 40.4 billion which constitutes roughly 18.2 percent

ISLAMABAD - Cellular phone handset import in the country has witnessed a whopping growth of 213 percent in November 2010 as compared to same month of last fiscal year. Such imports have increased to $43.416 million in November 2010 compared to $13.869 million in the same month of 2009.
