LONDON - At least 527 people were executed around the world last year, down from 714 in 2009, although China is believed to have put to death thousands more, human rights group Amnesty International said on Monday.

Religious group to protest against Quran’s desecration

LAHORE - The Jamaat-e-Ahle Sunnat Pakistan (JAP) will hold countrywide protests on Friday, March 25, to protest against the desecration of the Holy Quran in Florida, US. JAP Secretary General Riaz Shah called an emergency meeting of more than 500 clerics who will issue decrees which will be announced outside the Lahore Press Club on March 25. 22 officers from Customs Group suspended

ISLAMABAD - The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has suspended 22 officers of the customs group accused of smuggling liquor.
