LAHORE - At the Punjab Governor Salmaan Taseer's funeral at the Governor's House on Wednesday, hundreds of infuriated PPP workers chanted slogans against religious parties, Punjab Law Minister Rana Sana Ullah and the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N). Among the slogans were "Qatil Qatil, Nawaz Qatil, Shahbaz Qatil, Sana Ullah Qatil" (Killer killer, Nawaz killer, Shahbaz killer, Sana Ullah killer) and "Taliban ka jo yaar hai, gaddar hai" (A friend of the Taliban is a traitor).

ISLAMABAD - Senator Zafar Ali Shah challenged appointments of governors of all provinces in the Supreme Court, a private TV channel reported on Wednesday.
The petitioner contended that the president was bound to take advice from the prime minister while appointing governors in the light of Article 101 of the constitution. LAHORE: Students and teachers from different colleges and activists of Islami Jamiat Taliba on Tuesday staged a rally against the establishment of Board of Governors in 26 public colleges of the province.
