Iran-Pakistan gas pipeline to follow Gwadar coastal route
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has informed Iran that it has selected the southern coastal route crossing through Gwadar for the construction of the proposed Iran Pakistan (IP) gas pipeline between the two neighbours.

Maintenance caused cut in KESC gas supply
KARACHI: The Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) managing director on Monday apologised to the people of Karachi for cut in gas supply to the Karachi Electric Supply Company (KESC) that is causing prolonged power load shedding in the city.

WARSAW: Poland and Russia signed a new natural gas deal on Friday, after the EU rejected a previous one, that increases Russian deliveries to Poland's gas company by some 2.5 billion cubic metres to 10 bcm a year until 2022.

Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) has announced that Zamzama gas field is scheduled to begin annual maintenance from October 26 for the duration of nine days; gas supply in its system is expected to fall by 170 MMCFD.
In a press statement, SNGPL announced that it would suspend gas supply to three fertiliser plants, Pak Arab Fertlizer, Dawood Hercules and Pak American Fertiliser, during this period.

The federal cabinet on Wednesday approved the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India gas pipeline in pursuance of a policy to get the country out its energy crisis.
Briefing reporters at the Governor's House after the cabinet meeting, Minister for Information and Broadcasting Qamar Zaman Kaira said, "The project would be unaffected even if India backs out."
Kaira said Pakistan took Iran into confidence at a time when the world had reservations about it.
