LAHORE - A Lahore High Court (LHC) division bench on Monday allowed the Punjab government to continue construction of the Kalma Chowk flyover terming it in the public interest. The bench headed by Justice Umar Ata Bandial was hearing petitions filed by the Lahore Conservation Society and others. The bench observed that no environmental problems will arise from continuing the project due to which the construction should continue in the public interest.

LAHORE - A Lahore High Court's division bench on Wednesday extended the stay against construction of Kalma Chowk flyover and directed the Punjab government to file its reply at the next hearing on April 11.

Flyover, underpasses planned at Kalma Chowk

LAHORE - In a bid to provide better transport facilities to the citizens and to keep the traffic flow smooth, it has been decided to construct a flyover and underpasses at Kalma Chowk. This project will be launched within next 10 days and the Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif will lay its foundation stone. A decision in this regard was taken at a high level meeting chaired by Punjab CM on Saturday.
