PU student wins five gold medals in athletics

LAHORE - Sehrish Asghar, a student of Punjab University Hailey College of Banking and Finance, won five gold medals in 400m, 800m, 1500m, 100 x 4m and 400 x 4m races in Pakistan Inter University Athletics Championship. The championship was organized by Higher Education Commission in collaboration with Punjab University at Punjab Stadium from December 20 to 21. 15 universities from all over Pakistan participated in the games, won by Punjab University by securing 380 record numbers.

Train crushes five people in Daska

DASKAL Five people were killed and another four injured when a train collided with a rickshaw near the Uggoki area of Sialkot district on Friday. Five houses robbed, citizens block roads

GUJRANWALA - Robbers took away valuables from five houses in the city in early hours on Sunday while hundreds of citizens blocked the bypass road for two hours, suspending the flow of traffic between Lahore and Islamabad.

ISLAMABAD: Five new F-16 aircraft have been delivered to Pakistan from the US, said the U.S embassy here on Monday.
"The aircraft were inducted into the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) at a ceremony on Monday at Shahbaz Air Base near Jacobabad," the statement said. "Your Block-52 squadron is nearly complete," said United States Ambassador to Pakistan Cameron P. Munter, according to statement.

ISLAMABAD: The federal cabinet on Wednesday approved devolution of five federal ministries to the provinces, and the Pak-Afghan Transit Trade Agreement (PATTA) after detailed deliberations.

KARACHI: At least five people were killed in separate incidents in Karachi on Saturday amid heightened security measures that were put in place ahead of the arrival of the body of slain MQM leader Dr Imran Farooq.

US drone strike kills five militants in North Waziristan

MIRANSHAH: A US missile strike by a drone killed at least five militants in Pakistan's North Waziristan Agency on Monday, security officials said.
