ISLAMABAD - Former Balochistan police inspector general Javed Bukhari has been appointed as additional director general of Federal Investigation Agency (FIA). Pakistan Today learnt that Bukhari's appointment notification had also been issued and he would also lead the investigation team probing into the Haj scam. ISLAMABAD - The FIA has cleared former minister for religious affairs Hamid Kazmi from corruption allegations levelled on him regarding the Haj scam. According to an FIA report, former Haj director general Rao Shakil and middleman Ahmad Faiz did not transfer any amount in Kazmi's bank account therefore he was cleared of the charges.

Senate body directs FIA to assess actual price of NICL properties
ISLAMABAD - The Senate Standing Committee on Commerce on Friday directed the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) to advertise the sales of land illegally purchased by the NICL in order to assess their actual value.

ISLAMABAD - The Federal Investigation Agency's (FIA) team probing Haj scam returned disappointed from Saudi Arabia on Thursday as it failed to grill the main accused of the scandal, Ahmad Faiz owing to the Saudi government's refusal to record the statements of Saudi nationals.
