Govt collects Rs 9.7 billion TV fee in 3 years
ISLAMABAD - The government has collected Rs 9.7 billion under the head of TV license fee from 11.720 million customers during the last three years through electricity bills. Ministry of Information and Broadcasting in a written reply informed the National Assembly that currently, the total number of customers of electricity from whom the amount being deducted in the head of TV licence fee on electricity bills in the country is 11.720 million.

GUJRANWALA - The Gujranwala divisional commissioner has directed the Quaid-e-Azam Divisional Public School (QDPS) not to enhance its fees for at least one year and also urged all private educational institutes to freeze their fee structure for the same period.

TDAP reduces fee for GSP certificate
KARACHI - The Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) has announced a reduction in the fee of certificate of origin for acquiring GSP facility on exports to European Union from Rs1,000 to Rs 100. This was disclosed by Korangi Association of Trade and Industry (KATI) Chairman Syed Johar Ali Qandhari on Wednesday after a meeting with TDAP Chief Executive Tariq Puri wherein the issue of steep rise in issuance prices of GSP certificate was discussed.

LHC admits petition challenging LDA’s commercialisation fee
LAHORE: Lahore High Court (LHC) Justice Sheikh Azmat Saeed on Tuesday admitted for regular hearing and granted an interim stay on a petition challenging the commercialisation and conversion fee imposed by the Lahore Development Authority (LDA).
On the petition filed by Tahir Zia, the court as an interim order, required the petitioners to deposit six percent of the conversion fee and stayed the authority from resorting to any coercive action against them.
