PCF hails APTMA’s efforts for cotton farmers
LAHORE - The Pakistan Cotton Forum (PCF) has appreciated APTMA for its efforts in securing a free market for cotton trade. APTMA, by seeking timely intervention from the President of Pakistan, helped in a transfer of Rs 200 billion to the farm sector. LAHORE: After teachers and students, farmers would be the next target of the Punjab government, former Punjab chief minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi said on Saturday.
He made these remarks while chairing a meeting of Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) Nankana chapter office bearers at the PML House. Elahi said that while people were dying of hunger, Punjab CM Shahbaz Sharif was ruthlessly using the government machinery to silence the voices of the oppressed.

After the devastating floods, the farmers of Tank and Dera Ismail Khan are facing another threat of the lethal landmines washed down by the floodwaters from Waziristan to the lower areas.
