Police in Kohat seize 204 KG of explosives

KOHAT – Police have arrested three suspects and seized their explosive laden vehicle on Friday. The vehicle was carrying 204 kilogramme of explosive material.
The suspects, who have been moved to an unknown location, were arrested after the vehicle was stopped at Kohat Tunnel Indus highway.

PESHAWAR – An explosive device killed four children and wounded three others while they were playing at a pond in warm spring weather on Wednesday, police said.
Police said that the device exploded on the outskirts of the northwestern garrison town of Kohat in the province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, where Taliban insurgents have been fighting against government troops.

PESHAWAR – Political administration FR Kohat have
arrested two militants and recovered 175 kg explosives from their
possession, Assistant Political Agent said.
APA Gul Jamal on a tip-off conducted search operation in Akhorwal,

a flying coach and arrested two handlers.

Explosives used in Pakistan come from Afghanistan, says Malik

ISLAMABAD: All improvised-explosive devices (IEDs) being used by terrorists in Pakistan are smuggled from Afghanistan, Interior Minister Rehman Malik said on Thursday while speaking at a national conference that discussed countering the threat of roadside bombs.
“All IEDs are actually being transported from Afghanistan to Pakistan, you can see that on the border with naked eyes… that the terrorists are coming towards Pakistan, along with arms and ammunition,” Malik added.
