LAHORE - Four people died while several were injured in separate incidents in the metropolis on Sunday.
COOKED: A man was gunned down over some old rivalry in Northern Cantonment police precincts on Sunday. The deceased was identified as Muhammad Saleem (32), a resident of Harripur. According to the police, Saleem had an old rivalry with a group in his native city Haripur and he had shifted to Lahore to get rid of the rivalry and worked as a cook in a house in Defence Phase 8.

LAHORE - 30-years-old man was found dead under mysterious circumstances in the precincts of the Gharishahu Police here on Monday.

BEIJING - At least 21 people were killed -- including 14 schoolchildren -- and 25 injured in two car accidents in China on Monday, one of which involved over 100 vehicles, state press reported.
The 14 children died when the three-wheeled vehicle in which they were travelling plunged off a road in central Hunan province early Monday, Xinhua news agency said.
Xinhua earlier said nine children were killed and one was missing in the accident, in Hengnan county.

MIRPURKHAS: Mirpurkhas Press Club president Sultan Mehmood Chandio was shot dead outside his house in Al-Imran Town on Sunday. He was 40.
Police said Chandio was rushed to Civil Hospital Mirpurkhas, where he died of his injuries. Journalists from Mirpurkhas, including members of the National Press Club and Mirpurkhas Press Club reached the hospital and protested against Chandio's assassination.
