WWO observes Women’s Day

LAHORE - Working Women's Organization (WWO) held a conference at WWO Office on Monday to celebrate Women's Day (8th March). The conference addressed needs of the women working in both informal and formal sector. WWO Executive Director Aaima Mehmood said, "Lack of access to education, training and economic resources is the reason why most women are suffering today. We must enable women to get more education and earn for themselves."

Stags, Amar Cables stage wins on first day

LAHORE - Stags and Amar Cables won the opening day matches of the 1st Amar Cables Veterans T20 Championship, which started here at the Aligarh Ground Model Town on Sunday. LAHORE - The Welfare Finishing School of Rukhsana Foundation, a school for underprivileged children, celebrated its annual music day last month. Foundation Chairperson Rukhsana Tahirkheli was the chief guest and students performed various acts, which were appreciated by the audience. The foundation supports more than 120 underprivileged and poor students by providing them with free education. The foundation mostly helps children whose parents are scavengers and work on daily wages.
