Lahore - On the fourth day of the grand drive initiated against encroachments, the City District Government Lahore retrieved government land worth rupees 220 million. An accumulated total of 35.5 KM has been cleared from illegal extensions in all towns. Day 3: CDGL clears 48-km of encroachments
LAHORE - The City District Government Lahore (CDGL) cleared 48-kilometre of land on Sunday from encroachments including 682 roadside stalls, 28 shops, 254 sheds, 156 stairs, 268 signboards and the material was shifted to warehouses on 24 government trucks. Land worth around Rs 10 million has been retrieved during the grand operation against encroachments under the supervision of Lahore District Coordination Officer (DCO) Ahad Cheema in Baghbanpura.

Libya oil output slashed by 1.4m barrels a day
PARIS - Unrest in Libya has almost wiped out production in its key oil sector, slashing output by 1.4 million barrels a day to under 300,000, the head of French oil giant Total indicated.
