Iran reach Asian Cup last eight

DOHA - Iran qualified for the quarter-finals of the Asian Cup after a well-taken goal from Karim Ansari Fard gave them a 1-0 win over a dour North Korea side at the Qatar Sports Club on Saturday.

LAHORE - Pakistan's female tennis players will participate in the Federation Cup after almost a decade and the camp training of players started here at the Bagh-e-Jinnah courts under the supervision of former Davis Cupper Rashid Malik. Bin Hammam rules out winter World Cup

LONDON - Asian football chief Mohamed Bin Hammam on Friday ruled out shifting the 2022 World Cup in Qatar to winter or staging tournament matches around the Gulf region. LAHORE - The second phase of Chief Minister sports competitions (divisional level) opened up here at Punjab Stadium on Thursday with events starting at seven different venues of the city.

CM Sports Cup third phase concludes on 18th
