Six dead in Ireland plane crash

DUBLIN - A commuter plane crashed and burst into flames as it tried to land at Cork airport in southern Ireland on Thursday, killing six people and injuring another six, officials said. The accident happened as the turboprop aircraft travelling from Belfast City Airport in Northern Ireland with 12 people on board made its third attempt to touch down in fog.

35 survive Iranian air crash, 70 killed

TEHRAN - An airliner with Iran Air crashed on Sunday near a northwestern city in bad weather and broke into pieces, killing at least 70 of the 105 people on board, state news agency IRNA reported.

KARACHI: Death toll rose to 11, including eight crew members, as a Russian-made cargo plane crashed in the Naval area near Dalmian in Karachi soon after taking off from airport in the wee hours of Sunday, officials said.
