SANAA - Massive protests took place across Yemen on Sunday demanding the ouster of President Ali Abdullah Saleh, as the opposition joined a Gulf Arab meeting in Riyadh on a plan for the leader's departure.
Security forces deployed heavily in Sanaa where hundreds of thousands of men and women took to the streets in protest against Saleh's call for an end to men and women joining together in anti-regime protests, and calling for his ouster.

Exports will continue upward trend
KARACHI - Pakistan is likely to achieve record exports of $24 billion in the current financial year 2010-2011, as exports have already clocked $17.79 billion in the past nine months.
Pakistan, which hit record exports of $19.5 billion in 2009 -2010 against the target of over $17 billion, is anticipated to reach another record figure of $24 billion under the current resilience in exports, sources told Pakistan Today.

Women referees continue training
LAHORE - Fourteen young women referees took part in the PFF Women Referee Consolidating Course at FIFA House, Lahore, organised by PFF, as instructors Salah Uddin Awan and Arif Siddiqui helped run through the rules of the game as well as the stringent guidelines the officials need to follow. LAHORE - Hundreds of patients suffered as the strike of Punjab's doctors continues for an increase in salaries on Thursday.
The ongoing strike has completed a month of protests in which the Young Doctors Association (YDA) demonstrated outside hospitals and administered treatment to patients in medical camps there.
