ISLAMABAD - The SC dismissed a petition filed by an Islamabad Police constable on Tuesday who was an affecttee in 2005's earthquake and seeking his service's restoration.
Constable Qazi Tamizuddin was sacked for remaining absent from job.

More than 100 constables and lower cadre officials from the Lahore Police protested inside Qila Gujjar Singh Police Lines on Tuesday against senior officials for delaying their salaries, said sources from the Lahore Police Operations Wing. However Rai Nazar, the capital city police officer's (CCPO) spokesman denied any such protest.
