Punjab Tennis Championship gets underway
LAHORE: The Punjab Tennis Championship sponsored by Service Industries rolled into action here at the Bagh-e-Jinnah's courts on Thursday. Tournament Director Rashid Malik said that keeping in view the extensive interest in the championship, they have decided to hold the men's singles event on the opening day and many seeded junior players have made it to the next round. The championship will be featuring players of the under-12, 14, 18 categories.

LAHORE: The Pakistan cricket team started training at a camp here at the Gaddafi Stadium to prepare for the upcoming tour of New Zealand.
