The PIA's first Haj flight with 326 pilgrims left Quetta for Jeddah on Tuesday. Provincial Haj and Zakat Secretary Roheel Baloch, Haj Director Muhammad Younis Dar and PIA officials saw off the pilgrims at the airport amid tight security. A total of 11,500 pilgrims from Balochistan are going on Haj through 33 flights, till November 11.

Domestic debt expands by Rs 813 billion in one year
KARACHI:
The country's domestic debt has risen by Rs 813 billion (20 percent) over the last year, indicating massive borrowings by the government to control the widening fiscal deficit.
The domestic debt stood at Rs 4.05 trillion in August 2009, but expanded to Rs 4.863 trillion by August 2010.

A petition was filed in the Supreme Court on Monday seeking directions to the Sindh High Court (SHC) to decide a pending plea seeking the disqualification of Interior Minister Rehman Malik.
