RAWALPINDI: Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) Chairman Muhammad Arif Abbasi has stated that uprooting corruption and bringing people out of poverty are top priorities of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government.
In an interview with the media, he stated that Pakistani people had expressed full confidence in PTI in the last general election and the present government is trying its best to the put country on the path of prosperity and development.
Responding a question, he stated that the previous government had badly utilised the country’s resources as poor people were desperate for basic necessities of life.
Answering another question, he stated that the PTI government led by Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan was doing a great job and now the whole world was realising the importance of Pakistan. Even countries like USA and UK were inviting the PM for a visit.
He stated that poor people were deprived of their basic rights in the past, but PTI’s government would ensure the protection of their rights.
Highlighting the basic idea of this housing scheme, he said that it would help materialise dreams of the poor about owning their own house.
Responding to another question, he stated that action will be taken against illegal housing societies and added that a committee was being formulated to take action against such housing societies. “People should check the website of Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) before making an investment in housing societies,” he added.
