Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik on Thursday has apologized for Zulfiqar Mirza’s statement against MQM chief Altaf Hussain.
Speaking to media representatives in Islamabad, Malik said that the party leadership is shocked over Dr Mirza’s statement and added that Urdu speaking people are not only part of MQM but are also members in other parties including PPP as well.
He added that one should not forget and ignore the sacrifices rendered by the Urdu-speaking community in the making of Pakistan and said that after the passage of 65 years, such hurtful comments are not fair.
Malik said that Mirza’s statement has been disapproved by all party levels. He said that Altaf Hussain is an eminent leader and he would speak to him personally to lend a helping hand in bringing peace to the city. He urged PPP and MQM to remain peaceful and patient and work together in combating violence in the city.
“Altaf Hussain is a proven, unmatchable and great leader and he has a big heart; I request him to ask the people to calm down and show patience,” he added further.
The interior minister informed the media that President Asif Ali Zardari has taken notice of Dr Zulfiqar Mirza’s statement and has sought a report within 24 hours from Chief Minister Sindh.
We must consider to assign him a post of ‘negotiation and clarification’ minister, may he can gain his lost worth back with thi–oh wait when did he even ever had a worth. 🙂
Even if Rehaman Malik did it(apologies) on behalf of MR Zardari in public to play good cop,it was wrong.He is more MQM tham MQM is to have been blackmailed time and again over three thousand dead bodies in 45 months in PPP-Z,MQM,ANP coalition to the only political exploitation of MQM.It had become their habit to exploit PPPZ weakness of power and MR Rehman MALIK IGNORED THE INQUIRY REPORTS OF iNTEELIGENCE AGENCIES concerning the lists of terrorists belonging to MQM,ANP,PPP.He punished himfor speaking the truth and now when plays bad cop for speaking the truth and expose MQM lies and deception,making Pakistan their ‘qbza country’through their qbza tc chaanels,PPP-Z,Rehaman Malimk is dividing its own party to the advantage of MQM.Pakistan does not belong to PPP-Z oR MQM.COuntry has been ruined by PPP-Z and MQM.Both these parties have failed Pakistan and must leave.Rehman Malik has ruined secuirty,law and orders,issued visas to blackwaters indiscriminately and ruined our soverignity,thriygh drones,he is np Prime ministerm,President to stear Pakistan .The criminals,culprits belonging to any party must be ounished in example to save Pakistan.
