A local taxi driver, the sole breadwinner of the family, along with his son have been missing for over a month now, pushing the family on the brink of starvation.
Despite registering a case with the local police, no clues have so far been found and as a result, the family members of missing taxi driver, his wife and three daughters, are faced with an acute financial crisis.
Forty-year-old Masmat Satbrahi Kunbhar, wife of Din Muhammad Kunbhar, observed a protest outside the press club on the failure of law enforcers to get any clues about his her husband and their son.
The woman and her daughters Nazneen, Parveen and Yasmeen told Pakistan Today that her husband Din Muhammad was a taxi driver and left the Mirpurkhas taxi stand on May 5 along with 13-year-old Basheer Kubhar for a trip to Nawabshah but they still have not returned. “As we do not have any other source of income to run routine affairs, we are facing several problems.”
Meanwhile, on contact police officer Ayub Dars told Pakistan Today that they had received a written application from Masmat about the missing of her husband and son, and the matter is being investigated.
During initial investigation, it has been found that the missing taxi driver remained I contact with his partner Arif Mohajar while crossing the Jhole town in Sanghar district. “It appears that an offence was made in the limits of Sanghar district but the police are searching for more clues about the missing persons,” added the officer.
