ISLAMABAD: Accountability Court Islamabad Judge Mohammad Arshad Malik on Sunday signed the 80-page verdict in the National Accountability Bureau’s (NAB) corruption reference over Flagship Investment against Nawaz Sharif in which the former prime minister had been acquitted.
A local television channel on Sunday reported that the judge of the court has finalised the detailed verdict in the matter, adding that the defence counsel may apply for an attested copy of the judgment on Monday.
While acquitting Nawaz Sharif in Flagship Investment reference on December 24, Judge Mohammad Arshad Malik said that the court had not found material against Nawaz Sharif, however, announcing the verdict in the Al-Azizia/Hill Metal Establishment (HME) case, the judge convicted Nawaz and awarded him seven years’ imprisonment in addition to a fine.
