KARACHI: Police in the provincial capital on Saturday night apprehended five suspects in connection with a terror plot on New Year’s Eve.
After receiving a tip-off about the plot, police conducted a raid in PIB Colony, arresting the suspects and assorted equipment, including an explosive-laden motorbike and grenades.
While there was an exchange of fire, there was no loss of life.
DIG East Zone Aamir Farooq said that the the five suspects were planning a terrorist attack in the metropolis on New Year’s Eve .
