Mohmand blast martyrs two BDS personnel

PESHAWAR: Two members of the Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) of the security forces were martyred after being hit by a hidden improvised explosive device (IED) near Pakistan-Afghanistan border in Mohmand district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) on Friday.

The district administration and security sources confirmed the incident that took place in Khawaizai Baizai subdivision in Jarobi Dara area near the Afghan border. Naib Subedar Shehzad and Sepoy Kaleem were martyred while another member of the BDS, Mohsin sustained injuries in the incident.

The injured and bodies were shifted to nearby corps wing headquarters, where funeral prayers of the martyred soldiers were offered.

Jarobi Dara is the Pak-Afghan border area of Mohmand tribal district of KP province.

The Pakistan Army is working on fencing the border in these areas in its first phase, which will be completed till next year to stop the militant infiltration from the Afghan side.
