KUNRI: Historical Sir Roger Thomas library, established during British colonial period near Kunri Government Boys High School, is in a state of rapid deterioration.

The library has volumes of Hazrat Shah Waliullah, Molana Abdul Haq Haqani, Meer Sher Ali Afsos, Mirza Qadar Baksh Sabir Delwi, Mirza Adeeb and other writers. Precious books on drama, history, novel, poetry and sindhi literature are also being wasted here due to no maintenance.

In the year 1942, Sir Roger Thomas, a noted government figure and a modern agriculturist, had established this library affiliated to the school and it was considered among the best libraries of the region in past.

Locales have appealed to Minister of Education Syed Sadar Ali Khan that a trained librarian should be appointed and funds allocated so this library could be maintained effectively.
