Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) has rejected the approval of three bills by Sindh Assembly amid its protest on Wednesday.
Earlier, Sindh Assembly gave approval of three bills including Bill of Police Act-1861, Bill of Revenue Act-2011 and Bill for restoration of Commissionerate system in Sindh, while a bill for restoration of Local Government Act-1979 was also tabled in the assembly.
MQM also boycotted today’s session of Sindh Assembly after stern protest inside the house for not getting permission to sit on the opposition benches.
MQM leader Faisal Sabzwari said while talking to the media after the boycott of the session, that those who talk of democracy are trying to bring back a system of ruling in Sindh which was introduced by military dictator General Zia-ul-Haq.
MQM should do some retrospection. The military dictator Mush with the connivance of the very MQM bulldozed the legislation to introduce a new local government system with a change in the constituencies to the benefit of MQM. The government of PPP in Sindh should have reversed Mush's legislation when it came into power but in pursuance of disastrous policy of 'hum sab ko saath le chalen gey' they did not do that.
Now, since with simple majority a bill has been passed to revert to old system of commissionerate then why are they making fuss about. I thought they believe in democracy.
The local government system introduced by Mush demolished all the districts of Karachi into one and then handed it over to MQM as a piece of cake. While one district of Hyderabad was arbitarily divided into four or five districts to help MQM.
CDGK became a fiefdom of Mustafa Kamal (not the Ata Turk) and he played havoc with old traditional sindhi goths in the name of beautification of Karachi. Apart from giving some flyovers whose audit is yet to be done nothing concrete was done to improvise sewerage and communication system. With monsoon rains the subways of the city become swimming pools.
With the change in the demography plus high handed tactics MQM got the seats which they have now. If the elections are held under an independent election commission and under the protection of rangers or military then you would see how much seats MQM was winning.
MQM please give us a break. You can't fool people any more.
This truth is that MQM is a terrorist party and doing all the killing in karachi and hyderabad,they killed thousand innocent people, a day will come soon when they all will be hanged.
