LAHORE: Former president Asif Ali Zardari will not appear before the Supreme Court (SC) on Monday.

Farooq H Naik, Latif Khosa and a team of lawyers will appear before the top court and will evolve future legal strategy after obtaining copy of joint investigation team’s (JIT) report.

A three-member bench of SC presided over by Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Mian Saqib Nisar will hear the money laundering case on Monday. The court is likely to hand over the JIT report to all concerned parties.

Sardar Latif Khosa, counsel for Zardari, said that he can say nothing with surety regarding what will happen during the hearing. However, as per general procedure, the report is given to the parties concerned and a new date is given. “If SC provides us a copy of report on Monday then we will review it and work out our future legal strategy,” he said.
