In recent days, the Islamabad police has taken strict actions in the city for curbing crime. Barriers have been setup in various sectors, while entry and exit routes are being monitored. Although this has also resulted in some inconvenience for citizens, but if the security situation improves, it is a small price to pay. The initiative of community police should also be applauded, as this will also bridge the distance between the community and the police force. It is also the duty of the citizens to cooperate with the police and extend their assistance to them.
