Former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi’s father, Sahibzada Fazalur Rehman has been shifted to hospital in a critical state after he suffered a severe heart attack, according to sources close to the cricketer. The all-rounder’s father who was under treatment since weeks has been shifted to Intensive Care Unit at the Aga Khan’s Hospital.
Afridi, who was on a county stint for Hampshire, has left the UK and will return to Karachi via Abu Dhabi at 3am this morning. The star cricketer has requested all his fans to pray for quick recovery of his father. However, the participation of the all-rounder in remaining matches of the Friends Life Twenty20 has become doubtful.
