–Hamza Shehbaz hits out at PM Khan for his ‘circus-antics’ in time of crises

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) spokesperson Marriyum Aurangzeb Monday said that no one would need to topple the Imran Khan-led government, as the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief and his cabinet would do it by themselves.

Reacting to the premier’s interview that was aired earlier in the day, she said Imran Khan’s remarks on early elections were “indeed a matter of grave concern for the nation”.

“It seems the premier has realised that he cannot run the country,” Marriyum said and added that the prime minister did not have any confidence in his own government.

In such a situation, she added, Imran Khan should not continue to rule, not even for a minute.

Marriyum also accused the prime minister of being behind the “money laundering” of his sister Aleema Khan and said, “Demolishing the walls of the Governor Houses won’t erase the blot of Aleema’s money laundering.”

“Imran Khan has once again resorted to lies and U-turns, but the people of Pakistan now know the reality and he cannot bury his incompetence under the destroyed walls of a heritage site.”

‘CIRCUS-ANTICS’:

Meanwhile, PML-N senior leader and Punjab Assembly Opposition Leader Hamza Shehbaz Sharif said that the stock-exchange plunged another 1300 points while the government was busy with the “circus-antics” of demolishing Governor House’s boundary walls.

“The government should quit performing its meaningless stunts and for once concentrate on solutions to the challenges faced by the country,” he said in a statement issued here.

Instead of pulling down the walls of the Governor House, he said, the government should work to revive the industrial, economic and agricultural sectors of the country, which had been “crushed” owing to the recent price hike.

“The salaried, middle-class and the impoverished are being buried under increasing tariffs and inflation with every passing day amid the government’s plans of tackling the economic crisis with poultry.”

“The prime minister has nothing to offer to the people of Pakistan other than his U-turns, incendiary and indecent rhetoric or false promises,” Hamza said and added that both the nation and the country were in grave danger for as long as they were in the hands of such a “drastically incompetent” individual.
