FAISALABAD: As many as 331 house officers of the Allied and District Headquarters hospitals have not yet received their salaries for the month of April.

According to reports, the doctors have alleged that the administration pressurised them to get a 15-day salary to settle the issue but they refused.

The house officers are hired for paid house job for one year starting May, but the administration mistakenly recruited them in April last year.

The administration offered them a 15-day salary, which was to be deducted from the salary of a new batch of house officers.

They said they deserved the full month salary for they did their job efficiently and a number of times a house officer worked even more than 24 hours, particularly in the gynae department.

The salary of a house officer is Rs45,500.
