Following an intimate wedding in Italy, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh are going all out with their wedding back home by hosting multiple events. Wednesday night saw them host their second wedding reception in India.

After wearing Sabyasachi for most of her events, Deepika opted for an Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla chikankari ensemble in shades of ivory, gold and bronze for the Mumbai reception. Ranveer, on the other hand, wore an outfit by Rohit Bal, in the same shades as Deepika’s attire. Ranveer previously, also wore Bal on his Bengaluru reception.

Deepika’s makeup was also done in shades of bronze and gold, complete with a glossy nude lip. She accessorized her look with sindoor, red choodas, statement earrings and an elaborate necklace.

The couple channeled their inner Bajirao and Mastani at the event and appeared to step straight out of one of their films.

The reception was attended by close friends and family as well as some members of the media and was held at Mumbai’s Grand Hyatt. Ranveer was in his element throughout the event as he danced his heart out, videos of which have surfaced on social media.

Meanwhile, in a recent interview with Filmfare magazine, Ranveer opened up on his equation with Deepika and shared when he knew that she was the one whom he was going to marry. He revealed that their love story was one of patience and that he feels extremely lucky to have her.

Talking about their marriage, which followed after almost a six-year-long relationship, Ranveer said: “I’ve been ready for a while. I was just waiting for Deepika to be ready. It would happen whenever she had decided. I was fully ready and raring to go.”

However, Ranveer revealed that he himself knew that Deepika was the ‘one’ six months into the relationship.

“Six months into the relationship, I knew she was the one. I nurtured the relationship accordingly. It’s been six years now. She’s too good, too lovely. She’s a force of nature. I understood that almost immediately,” Ranveer told Filmfare.

He added, “I knew all too well that this is the woman I’m going to marry. This is the woman who would become the mother of my children. I’ve been thinking about marriage seriously for almost three years now. I was just waiting, I told her the minute you say so, we’ll do it.”

Talking about their destination wedding, Ranveer shared that Lake Como was Deepika’s idea and he just wanted to go with whatever she wanted.

“Whatever she wished, I wanted her to have it. That’s the first step in being the husband of the millennium,” Ranveer remarked, “Whatever her vision of getting married, I wanted her to realise it. Whatever she wanted, it was done exactly in that manner. Deepika deserves every bit of it. I too deserve happiness and my happiness comes from her happiness. It’s that simple.”

Considering that both the actors are on the top of their respective careers, would marriage distract them? On this Ranveer commented, “I believe when the feeling is right, it’s the right time. I’ve been feeling it’s right for a long time. This could have happened three years back as well. Now that she’s also feeling right about it, it’s perhaps the right time now. When two people feel right about it, it’s the right time.”

Ranveer’s wedding to Deepika was one of the most anticipated events of the year. The couple tied the knot in an intimate ceremony at Italy’s picturesque Lake Como on November 14 and 15, before hosting a reception last week in Deepika’s hometown Bengaluru. Their last event is expected to be a grand reception on December 1 which will have their industry friends in attendance.
