Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas’ wedding festivities have officially begun and the first function is a family puja at the Mumbai residence of Priyanka’s mother, Dr Madhu Chopra

Pictures of the couple dressed in traditional attires along with Nick’s brother Joe Jonas and her fiance Sophie Turner have been circulated on social media.

While Priyanka wore a heavily embellished powder blue and silver outfit, Nick donned a blush pink kurta pyjama. Priyanka accessorised her look with statement sunglasses, shoulder-grazing earrings and her Tiffany & Co diamond engagement ring.

As per reports, the entire family is expected to leave for Jodhpur after the puja for the rest of the functions.

Meanwhile, Priyanka and Nick have been enjoying their pre-wedding celebrations ever since Nick arrived in India on Friday. Their celebrations started with a Thanksgiving dinner in Delhi, followed by a small party on the sets of Priyanka’s upcoming film The Sky is Pink. The couple also went out for dinner on Monday with their close friends including Parineeti Chopra and Alia Bhatt.

The couple’s wedding will take place at the luxurious Umaid Bhawan Palace in Jodhpur on December 1 and 2, according to Indian and western traditions. Preparations for the wedding are in full swing.

The pre-marriage rituals will reportedly begin on November 30 with a sangeet while a haldi ceremony will be held the next day.

A source shared: “It will be an intimate wedding, with the bride and groom dressed in their traditional finery, to be attended by close family and friends. The Delhi reception will happen three days later, followed by another reception in Mumbai. Guests will start arriving from November 29 at Umaid Bhawan.”
