OPC helps expat retrieve properties worth Rs120m

LAHORE: Punjab Overseas Pakistanis Commission (OPC) has helped an expatriate in retrieving his three properties worth Rs120 million.

OPC Vice Chairperson Waseem Akhtar Tuesday said Sharjah-based Pervaiz Ahmad had lodged a complaint stating that he had been sending money to his brother for investment purposes for the past 18 years.

The brother had purchased properties in different parts of Lahore, but was not handing over the possession to Pervaiz.

The complaint was referred to Deputy Director Faisal Atta Khan Baloch for further proceedings and as a result of hectic efforts of OPC team; an agreement was reached between the parties concerned about the transfer of properties to the rightful owner.

Pervaiz Ahmad has thanked Chief Minister Usman Buzdar, OPC VC Waseem Akhtar, DG Usman Anwar and the entire OPC team for providing timely help.
