RAC continues to facilitate local drama artists

RAWALPINDI: Rawalpindi Arts Council (RAC) has continued to facilitate local drama artists on the special instructions of Information and Culture Department Minister Fayyazul Hassan Chohan.

 

In this regard, a theatre play ‘Mr Faradye’ was arranged to promote dramatic activities in the area. The play was written by Azhar Kamil and directed by Naeem Ahmed while Anjum Malik, Naeem Bubba, Shahid Mughal, Aini Bukhari, Shahzad Mughal, Ali Shan, Haroon Kayani, Waqas Wicky,  Zahida Chaudhry, Reha Yousaf Sohail Butt, Naeem Totta and Azhar Kamil were included in the play’s cast.

The play was based on various kinds of social issues. RAC Director Waqar Ahmed, while addressing the attendees of the occasion, said that the Arts Council encourages local drama artists and 70 per cent of the budget for cultural activities were spent of promotion of theatrical plays.
