A delegation of journalists on Monday expressed concern of the country’s journalistic community towards remarks made by Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Mian Saqib Nisar about veteran journalist Ali Naqi, a local media outlet reported.

Lahore Press Club former president Shehbaz Mian said that Naqi was a man of principles and CJP’s comments were disheartening. The concern was conveyed to the CJP while he was hearing a case in the apex court’s Lahore Registry.

CJP Nisar in response acknowledged services rendered by Naqi and said that the court had no ego.
