ABBOTTABAD: The Ministry of Interior on Friday established a cyber crime police station in Abbottabad to investigate and stop cyber crimes in the Hazara region.
According to the details, the ministry has also established two more cyber crime police stations in Peshawar and D.I. Khan under the cyber crime act after an increasing number of complaints against crimes on social media and others internet mediums.
The police station would investigate all electronic crimes independently in which other departments of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) would not intervene. The ministry has also deputed the assistant directors and other staff members in all three of the newly established cyber crime police stations.
The new cyber crime police stations were established under 2016 anti-electronic crime act section 51.
