SHEIKHUPURA: Seven policemen were injured on Thursday when Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Mian Saqib Nisar’s convoy met a road accident at Motorway near Khanqan Dogran.
According to police sources, CJP Nisar’s security staff vehicle from Sheikhupura district met an accident at Motorway and as a result, seven policemen received injuries. Rescue 1122 and Edhi ambulances shifted the injured to District Headquarters Hospital (DHQ).
On getting information, the chief justice visited the hospital to inquire after the injured cops.
Deputy Commissioner Azhar Hayat and DPO Jehanzeb Nazir Khan reached the spot and later they visited DHQ Hospital as well.
The chief justice directed the hospital administration to provide the best treatment facilities to the injured.
Later, an injured person was referred to a hospital in Lahore due to his precarious condition.
