Disqualification case: PHC seeks reply from premier, ECP

PESHAWAR: The Peshawar High Court (PHC) on Wednesday sought a reply from Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan and Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) in the disqualification case pertaining to the concealment of facts in the nomination papers of NA-35.

A citizen, Inam Ullah, had filed a petition in the PHC seeking the disqualification of PM Khan.

A two-member bench of the PHC comprising of Justice Ikram Ullah and Justice Ishtiaq Ibrahim took up the case for hearing on Wednesday.

The court while hearing the petition sought a reply from PM Khan and ECP on next hearing.

The petitioner took the plea that the premier should be disqualified for concealing facts in his nomination papers during general elections in NA-35.
