ISLAMABAD: The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has planned to introduce an electronic office system in all of its departments to speed up the ongoing operations and swift completion of management work.

Official sources told APP on Wednesday that HEC Chairman Dr Tariq Banuri has initiated this move to lessen the burden on high officials while performing their day to day tasks. Sources added that the system would help officials to monitor and dispose of their assignments even without their physical appearance in the office.

The officials on their private local and foreign as well as official tours would be able to do urgent tasks this way.

“Initial work to this effect would be started soon,” sources informed.

The e-office system would ensure that official matters would not remain pending for long and that students and universities would be facilitated due to quick responses to their complaints and requests.

He further said that it was Banuri’s modern approach to deal with the work and that homework to introduce this new system had already been completed.

“In case of a private visit to any country abroad, employees shall be responsibly able to complete their pending work with ease,” the sources added.
