Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) bureaucrats continued their protest in support of their demands from the government for the sixth consecutive day across the province.

According to a local media report, officials from the provincial management services (PMS) and provincial civil services (PCS) have been sporting black bands during office hours to register their protest.

It has been further reported that these officials have been “demanding representation in the federal task force formed for civil services reforms in the country by the Prime Minister Imran Khan, under the supervision of State Bank of Pakistan former governor Ishrat Hussain”.

The protesters also demanded the annulment of “apportionment formulae 93 on which the seats are distributed between the officers of the PMS/PCS group and the officers of the Pakistan Administrative Services (PAS) group in the provinces”.

The PMS/PCS officers association in the province stated that the government has not contacted them despite their protest entering its sixth day.

The association says that “their protest is in connection with the protest of All Pakistan PMS Officers Association which has been protesting across the country in all provinces”.
