Sindh CM directs commissioner for better firefighting steps

KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali on Monday directed Karachi commissioner to listen to the affectees of a recent fire incident took place in New Sabzi Mandi in which 46 godowns and a shop were gutted.

On the directives, Karachi Commissioner Iftikhar Ali Shallwani visited the site to inspect the losses of the owners of warehouses of fruit crates.

He also held a meeting at his office on Monday, in which affectees gave details of their losses and requested for compensation.

Commissioner directed Assistant Commissioner General Aijaz Hussain Rind to process the case of compensation. He also directed the concerned officials to take steps for better firefighting arrangements in New Sabzi Mandi.
