It is no secret that Shah Rukh Khan likes to party like a teenager (Remember him on Sonam Kapoor’s wedding?).

Well, following the release of his upcoming film Zero‘s trailer, SRK hosted a birthday bash at a popular restaurant in Mumbai for his close friends, which went into the wee hours of the night.

However, the curtain had to be drawn on the late-night bash after the Mumbai Police knocked the doors of the venue and closed it down, the Hindustan Times reported. The party, attended by Swara Bhasker, Nikhil Advani, Aanand L Rai and choreographers Bosco-Caeser, among others, was being held at a popular Mumbai restaurant named Arth in Bandra.

Restaurants usually don’t stay open till wee hours on a Friday in Mumbai. However, SRK’s party in Arth was going on till 3 am with loud music. While the restaurant shut for the general public at 1 am, it remained open for a private party held by King Khan for his friends. The party went on until the Mumbai Police interrupted the celebration and asked the owners to shut the party.

Soon after the cops stopped the celebration, the party was cut-short and SRK was seen coming out with his friends Aanand L Rai and Nikhil Advani.

The Bollywood baadshah rang in his 53rd year Friday with elaborate celebrations that began at midnight with Khan appearing on the balcony of his house, Mannat to greet his fans and well-wishers. Khan then cut a cake in the presence of wife Gauri and close friend Karan Johar. His day was spent releasing the trailer of his upcoming film Zero with a lot of pomp and flair.
